Time With... Anna Heyligers

As the 2020 pandemic jolted us into a new existence, I reached out to creatives across the globe in the hope that they would share their experiences of the changing world. From America, throughout Europe, and here at home in Oz, many beautiful people happily obliged. I corralled the responses on my Instagram account under the series title Time With and have been sharing the responses here on my blog.

I asked each person to send me three pictures and an explanation that illustrated 1/ their favourite spot at home 2/ the daily helper that was getting them through each day 3/ their work and endeavours.

The series was a way for me to keep busy while confined to my own home, but it was also an opportunity to spread creative love and connectedness in a time when loneliness was rife. My thoughts are with those who are currently dealing with lockdowns and upturned lives.

Anna Heyligers, based in the seaside town of Thirroul south of Sydney, was one of those tip-top individuals who took part in the series. Anna is the sunshine-y force behind Noel and Gladys, a friendly and ethically-minded local lifestyle store that overflows with community spirit and beautiful products.

Thanks for taking part, Anna!

My home

After a two year (nearly killed us) DIY renovation we’re finally able to enjoy the fruits of our labour in our little 1920’s bungalow and being stuck in here ain’t so bad 😍 I’ve found myself in the kitchen cooking which has been so nice.

My daily helper

The coffee run. Just getting out to the local cafes and picking up my skim cap with one means I get a “distanced” face to face with a real-life person. It’s fab. I did, however, buy myself a coffee machine for those espresso martini’s at night 😆

My work

I own a little retail store in Thirroul @noelandgladys We sell lots of beautiful handmade things and things good for our planet. It has been a tough time for the store as you can imagine. On the upside, it’s pushed my creativity, made us focus and take down barriers because now it’s not about anything else but survival.
